Something about me.
My name is Allan Linnemann, I'm a IT-technician in a world wide company.
Im born in 1958, almost 8 years after the end of the short turbulent period of Cobra.
In my spare time i read about art, specially concentrated around Cobra, but I'm also interested in other form of art.
My interest for Cobra started some years ago when I accidently bought a Heerup lithograph, and this way i was introduced to Cobra.
Soon i got the fever, and bought books, pamphlets, magazines telling the story about CoBrA
By now I have a collection of more than 400 books pamphlets, magazines and articles from the entire period 1935 up to now.
Besides I have started a little collection of paintings, sculptures, lithographs, drawings and prints, and have by now a good lot of art related to the group.
I attend auctions, also on the internet, where you sometimes are lucky to buy cheap.
I visit a number of art museums, looking for art related to Denmark.
From time to time we visit Skagen, the north most point of Denmark to look on art from the Skagen Group, which had their major period in 1885-1910, Kroyer, Ancher, Drachmann and others. In Skagen the light is a little special because of the sea surrounding this town.
Then I seek new artists, as I am a member of an artclub in my firm, and I buy for some 8000 $ worth of art and crafts every year.
In 2008 i had the pleasure to visit the Asger Jorn Villa or 'Estate' in Albissola.
